Have your say - Future housing and job sites in Bolton

I have received several pieces of correspondence from local residents in the last few weeks relating to the draft proposals for the Greater Manchester Spatial Framework.

The Greater Manchester Spatial Framework is intended as a long term plan for homes and jobs up to 2035, along with identifying the new infrastructure (such as roads, rail, and utility networks) required to achieve this.

The detail of this is vital and I want the public to voice their concerns. Local residents’ priorities should come before those of the developers.

Whilst I do not have a formal role in the process I will share any feedback I receive from residents with the leader of Bolton Council and the acting Mayor of Greater Manchester.

You may be interested to know that the deadline for feedback has now been extended to Monday 16th January 2017. If you know anyone else with an interest in these matters I would encourage them to participate.

Paper copies of the draft Greater Manchester Spatial Framework may be viewed at Bolton Central Library, the One Stop Shop at Bolton Town Hall and at the borough’s local libraries at Blackrod, Breightmet, Bromley Cross, Farnworth, Harwood, High Street, Horwich, Little Lever and Westhoughton.
